Great Plains in Buxtehude

The Great Plains is a very cozy looking restaurant. The steaks are very good. Not to mention the buffet. I usually use the rosemary potatoes to bridge the waiting time until the steak. A delicious dip is right next to the warmth container for the rosemary potatoes. When I've finished them off, I look for the very diverse range of salads. I find a lot there that I like. Pasta salads, cucumber salad refined with fruit, very tasty. If I weren't so keen on the steak, I'd eat myself completely full at the buffet. There is also the possibility to eat only from the buffet, then it becomes a possible feed station even for the very small budget. I definitely recommend the Great Plains because it is also suitable for vegetarians. I am and will remain a carnivore. But that doesn't stop me from seeing and recommending the possibilities for other food cultures. Good Appetite. P.s. Definitely reserve a table.

Very, very tasty steaks with a well-stocked side dish buffet, it was delicious. Only the background music is controversial.

The food and service were good. Unfortunately, the children's menu was the last of 6 meals served. Child just 1.5 years old and there was no possibility of changing the child. Therefore, no return visit with a toddler for us

We have been here 3 times for lunch and the food is really good. Everything is freshly prepared, the schnitzel is not prepared but is reasonably marinated, prepared and fried in the pan after ordering! The steak quality is good and the chef knows his job here too! The team is super polite and focused on good service! I can only recommend having lunch here!

Super tasty uniquely good. Very nice friendly service. Since super quality is also a bit more expensive. But you allow yourself to do that.

Great steak house. Clean, nice atmosphere and very cozy. Great card - something for everyone. Price performance fits great! You order your meat and you can go to the buffet. Super quality, the meat is first class and is cooked exactly as you want it (5 levels can be selected). At the buffet, almost everything is homemade. Salads, breads, dips, foil potatoes and potato wedges with sourcream. Because of Corona we were not allowed to go to the buffet this time. But were served completely and we were brought everything we wanted. Really great service. Thanks to the nice young waitress from last night (June 3rd) who did such a great service. I can only recommend the shop! All around satisfied, we will be back!

In short: Delicious steak, but I wouldn't go there a second time. The quality of the meat was good. Angus beef is served. The steak was fried to the point. The reason why I would not come again is the poor quality of the side dishes. The buffet was always praised in the reviews. Unfortunately I cannot confirm this. Cheap iceberg lettuce, unripe tomatoes, ready-made sauces, etc. Very boring overall. In general, I expect a restaurant to serve something that I wouldn't be able to do at home. Unfortunately, this is not the case here. There was still some detergent in the bottom of my glass on the bottom, which came off the last sip and finally rinsed my mouth out properly. That can happen, but I really wouldn't have needed it

A really good steakhouse with a well thought out program. Manageable in terms of space, but cozy, not too loud and therefore very pleasant. The steaks are of really good quality and fried to the point. At first glance, the prices are a bit steep, but on closer inspection they are cheaper than comparable restaurants. As I said, a good concept to include the salad buffet in the prices. Bread with a salt crust is addictive. The service was super friendly and attentive. A visit is definitely worthwhile.

Nice food, a bit pricey for what you get

My wife and I have been guests at the Great Plains in Buxtehude many times. The quality was always the same good and delicious. The service very friendly. The restaurant is not very comfortable but still an absolute recommendation. The evening buffet is highly recommended. Not cheap but you can taste the quality in the preparation. There is no eavesdropping in the kitchen. Thanks for the nice evenings 😉😉

Very nice restaurant with high quality products, which you can definitely taste. The buffet (included in the price) is also appropriate from the selection and of course really tasty. Completely satisfied and we will definitely come back !!!

Very good food and a really nice staff.

This is by far my most favorite Steak restaurant. I've tried steak in many different restaurants around the world and in all price ranges and I must say that this restaurant cooks the best steak. The great steak combined with the awesome buffet for sides and outstanding salad is only topped by the addictive deserts offered here. The nice and friendly personnel as well as the cozy ambience provides the correct context for the food. Without doubt, this is my favorite restaurant.

We like it here very much. You can choose different dishes. We prefer to choose a meat and to take the appetizer & side buffet. Also good for vegetarians (without the meat ;-) suitable. Delicious. Friendly, attentive staff.

The steak is juicy and tasty. The service is attentive and nice. If you order steak, you also get a buffet. The buffet is very good too. There is salad, potatoes, bread and different sauces. The same made bread is delicious.
